YOU CAN'T  WORK FOR OR EARN EVERLASTING LIFE

Because it  is free !!!

Who says it is? Well, God does.

He  knows because he is the giver.

Certainly Good News for everyone.

How can you get this free gift?

GOD exists and he sent his son

Jesus Christ to save you.

From what? Your sin (wrong doing)

It seems all have sinned (done wrong).

All of us, me, you, every

one.  God himself has said it.

So he wants us to confess our sins,

(the things we have done that we know are wrong) big or small (it’s not easy) and then ask him (God) for his forgiveness.

( We don’t need a priest to do this.

It’s nobody elses business, we can do it right  now in the privacy of our room.)

We must believe that Jesus Christ was born the Son of God and that he died to pay the price (which is spiritual death) for everyones sins and that God raised him up again and he now  lives beside God.

Because of what Jesus did on Good Friday (dying for our sins) God will forgives us our sins when we ask and will help us to live the way he wants us to live.

If you have genuinely done that (remember God knows our heart, we can’t fool him) then from now on we are saved and of course we want to please God in the way we live.

His Holy Spirit will now help us by convicting us of things we do and say which we shouldn’t. When he doeswe then say we are sorry to God ( if we are ) and try not to do them again.      ( God will help)

Above all remember we need to remember we are now saved.

Please go to a church or fellowship which believe in the authority of the Holy Bible (not all do). We will find people there who will be ready to help with our new life (it can be difficult) and who will love  and teach us more about Jesus Christ. It’s important to tell someone too that we are now a Christian, even if it’s someone in our new church.

If we Read a modern day version of the Bible daily (Living Bible recommended)(see bible plan) St Lukes Testament we will understand more.

Pray(talk) to Jesus who saves us.  He is now your friend, Saviour and brother and to his father  we are now his children and he loves us. We now have Eternal life.

Please do it now because your last breath is your last chance.          Romans 3v22 says "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe" (N I V)

The Bible Plan

THE BEGINNING

At the start (Genesis, about 6000 yrs ago) it tells us that God created the world in 6 days and in that time he created plants, then fish and birds, then animals and finally man and woman (Adam & Eve). It says 'he looked at it all and saw that it was good', so on the 7th day he rested.

SIN AND DEATH

Next the serpent (Satan) tempted Eve to eat the fruit of a tree that God had specifically told them not to or they would die. She then gave some to Adam who ate it. This was disobedience to God and so sin and death came into the world . Then 2 children of Adam " Cain & Abel " argued and the first murder took place.

WATER EVERYWHERE

(Genesis 6) Soon there were many people on the earth and most were sinful so God said he was sorry he had made man, and decided to blot them out.

Luckily for us one man, Noah, pleased God. So he told Noah to build an ark (a big boat)  take his family and 2

animals of each species aboard because he was going to flood the world. It took 120 years to build but then the flood happened and apart from those on the ark everyone was drowned.

Are You Confused?

But sin (like a virus) was still in the world.  So God had a long term plan to save mankind.  When men tried to build a tower to Heaven (tower of Babel) to show how clever they were, God confused their speaking so one group didn't know what another was saying and so they scattered.

Abraham

The next important person and event is Abraham who God told to  leave his home and go to another land.  He obeyed God who then told him because he had been faithful he would make him the father of a great nation.  They talked in funny ways like that then but it came true because that nation is now  Israel (the Jews) which is spread around the world.

At first it grew slowly and there was a great famine in that area but God sent them into Egypt where they were treated favourably.

COAT OF MANY COLOURS

Most people have heard the story of Joseph his multi- coloured coat and thats how God got them in there so that they could multiply. God told Abraham this would happen hundred years earlier.

THE PLAGUES

When about 400 yrs were up God brought them out and most people have heard how Moses challenged Pharaoh with the 10 plagues until he had to let the Israelites go and then Pharaoh lost his army in the Red Sea

Well eventually Israel went in to the land God had promised Abraham, fighting and conquering those already in there.

Over the next hundreds of years Israel had it's ups and downs according to whether they obeyed God or not . God was merciful in that he always warned them what would happen if they didn't.

obey him and worshipped idols instead. But God always took them back again when they truly repented.

START OF THE PLAN

About 2000yrs ago God put his plan into action and sent his own son Jesus into the world.

Because sin was passed on by the male side he bypassed that and so Mary conceived via the Holy Spirit which is part of the Godhead. This meant Jesus was born sinless.

Jesus went through life sinless even  though he was sorely tempted. When Jesus was crucified, which was part of the plan, he became the ultimate sacrifice for mans sin. (This sacrifice was required by God).

Then God raised him up and so he lives even now. He sent his Holy Spirit to be with those who accept what Jesus did for them and trusts him. When that happens it is called being 'born again'. Now those who believe and trust in Jesus can have everlasting life. This was Gods rescue plan for mankind.

So why is satan allowed still to wreak havoc?

We are told in the Bible that God is not happy for anyone to perish . He is a merciful God and so he is holding back his wrath so that as many people as possible can hear about the good news and have a chance to  respond either positively or negatively. He told his disciples, after he had risen from the dead, to go into all the world so that all the nations can hear and then he will come back. An impossible task then but with the advent of radiol tv/ internet it is not.

THE PLAN COMES TOGETHER

The final part of the plan is when Jesus comes back to take all believers to heaven. After that the earth will be destroyed and a new earth will be created. All this is in Revelation the last part of the Bible.

Of course there is a lot more in the Bible than that but this is an overview of the plan.

`You must all be born again' (John 3:7)

In the technical world, the miracles of modern science are achieved by careful planning and big efforts to turn these plans into reality. Powerful machines or organizations are needed to make everything work. In the organic world, the miracles of nature come about in a different way: All organisms, with their wonderful abilities, grow from tiny seeds into their ultimate form and function, and this happens almost without effort, and in the right environment all by itself. This is the way God organized His miracles, and Jesus repeatedly uses comparisons with natural growth processes to illustrate the way the kingdom of God grows in each of us. In nature, the program containing the plan and the instructions for its realization is contained in the seed; without seed no life.

A child too grows from a tiny seed sown by the father into the mother's womb. There it has the opportunity to grow undisturbed in a protected environment until its functions are developed enough to cope with the external world. For the mother, this is not always easy, the joys of growing life within her must be paid by her with a willingness to change her life patterns so that it suits the child. She must care not only for herself but also for the new life, and conflicts with her old lifestyle must find a creative solution.

Then the child is born, and continues to grow in the care of a family. The growth is accompanied by the joys of learning and of gaining control over one's life, and by the struggles to cope with the hurt brought about by circumstances, accidents, other people and one's own thoughtlessness. Finally, as an adult, organic growth comes to an end, but growth in responsibility and in the quality of one's service to society continues (for those who want to grow) until the end of one's life.

Jesus says: Becoming a Christian is also a growth process, Mark 4:30-32. It is not a technical matter which just depends on a clever plan, a decision to make it real, and the right organization to carry it out. Rather it is like a seed sown by God into the heart of people, and if it finds there acceptance and care, it grows silently and protected until it is strong enough to become visible to others. Becoming a Christian is not a matter of joining a church or following the parents' moral education, but one of opening your heart to the seeds of God's word, and letting His word grow in your heart.

Just like a mother one day notices the new life within her, you may notice that one of the words of God you heard carries life - it suddenly makes a difference and is no longer just a word or sentence or story like any other, and you start pondering about it to find out which place it should get in your daily routine. If you care about a future blessed by God you will appreciate God's gift of new life and let it grow.

After a while you'll find that further growth of God's life within you requires that you change some of your habits, just as a mother has to change when the baby within her grows. Some mothers cannot bear this; they want to continue their old ways of being and prefer to kill the child while it is still legal. The same can happen with the new self God plants in you: If you don't want to change you can kill your new self; no one will notice, but you spoilt a priceless opportunity.

But if you are prepared to change, God can continue with the growth of your new self, and some time later, it is ready to be born, a new self which learnt to listen to God and makes the first steps to carry out the program engraved in it by God's word. Then you are born again. As for a newborn baby, there are still dangers and many things to learn, but if your old self is wise it will give room to the new self and move to the background as your new self becomes stronger. And if your old self is not so wise, the new self will find support in God to fight for existence and growth. (Here the mother-child picture ends to be appropriate.)

A born again Christian knows that his old self is doomed to death and his new self has eternal life; so he shifts his powers from the old to the new.
A born again Christian trusts God that He leads him on a good path even when the path is difficult (Rom. 8:28).
A born again Christian takes pride in being a good servant of God instead of in achieving recognition, wealth and success (1 Tim. 6:6-12).
A born again Christian is not only baptized, but understands the meaning of baptism as being already dead for the world - he has no longer an obligation to please people but is free to please God (Rom. 6).
A born again Christian makes God's interests his own, and knows that God is always on his side (Rom. 8:31-39).

Well, reality is not as clear cut; all born again Christians have weaknesses like other people. But it is worth striving for the ideal; who does not fight for it will not be crowned (2 Tim. 2:4-5), and who compromises is not fit for God's kingdom (Rev. 3:15-16).
